Ganko Japanese Cuisine

Founded in Osaka, Ganko Japanese Cuisine expanded to Kyoto and Tokyo over the last 60 years to become one of Japan's most well-known restaurant chains. Today, when people in the Kansai region think of washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine), Ganko is the first name that comes to mind.

To enable customers to appreciate washoku culture, Ganko adheres to its three founding principles of providing delicious food that is of better quality than competitors and making customers happy.

In 2019, Ganko was introduced to Taiwan by Shengbao with the opening of Ganko Guan Gu Japanese Cuisine in Linkou District, New Taipei City. The first Ganko restaurant to enter the overseas market, Ganko Guan Gu mainly offers authentic kaiseki cuisine and set meals.

Kaiseki cuisine varies by season, and Ganko combines fresh seasonal ingredients with refined cooking techniques and uses serving plates related to the season to showcase the essence of authentic Kansai cuisine. The restaurant is also a pioneer of Japan's okami (female proprietor) concept to convey the traditional Japanese spirit of service and warm hospitality.

Set meals

In a Japanese set meal (teishoku), all the dishes of the different courses are served together and presented in front of the diner in a one-person, one-setting format. This dining style fulfils both the visual and taste aspects of the unique washoku cuisine.

1. Members must present their Asia Miles by Cathay membership card at the time of payment. Asia Miles cannot be issued afterwards.

3. Unless otherwise specified, mileage credits will be earned on total food and beverage spending including service charges and taxes, where applicable. Tips are excluded in all markets.

4. Asia Miles will be awarded to one member's Cathay membership account for every single eligible spending.

5. Miles will be credited to the member’s account within seven (7) working days after each eligible dining transaction.
